Nancy had been out trying to get herself balanced as the inside of her felt like it was getting worse. As much as she didn’t want to allow a demon to take over her body when it wasn’t to help someone, she knew she was going to need to do it. If she didn’t, she really wasn’t wanting to find out what would happen with her body when she already felt on edge cause of it. To try to center herself, Nancy had her headphones on with her IPod, listening to music, which was the way she always kept herself in check. Elvis had learned that was the key to keeping her in control and the reason he always made sure she had her music on hand. With it almost dead, Nancy had headed back to her apartment with the need to charge it.
Her attention switched gears at a man with a ball of flames, especially when Nancy could smell demon on him. Though the smell was slightly different, she could still smell the demon on him. The thing he was doing plus the nothing dangerous had her more curious than she’d ever admit. All the demons she ever had in her body never wanted to do anything kind, but she usually could control them enough to keep them in check, especially the lower level demons. The demons she had run ins with were always one for causing problems rather than preventing them so why wasn’t he?
Not that she minded, but Nancy was curious. “I wasn’t all that worried since I’m not a puddle,” she replied with a smirk. Her lack of tact in most situations came out as she didn’t even think twice about her question, “What type of power is that?” While she knew he was demon, she wasn’t one to call someone out when they weren’t causing problems.
