Who: FP Jones and Faith Lehane
When: Late Friday Night/Early Saturday Morning
Where: Melbourne Portal
What: The Let's Try Not to Get Into Trouble Date That's Not a Date
Warnings: Language, TBD
Status: Closed/In-Progress

Visiting Australia should have been a great place to visit. It should have been relaxing and warm. While it was that, it wasn't entirely FP's idea of exciting.

There had been a promise of an active nightlife despite being so far back in time. The 20s were supposed to be a roaring good time, so FP had high hopes for that. Especially as he had brought Faith along for the ride.

As life would have it, things had gotten in the way of the requested date, but FP wasn't about to let that happen again. He suspected a person only got so many chances with Faith and he didn't want to end up blowing all of them in one go.

FP had screwed up enough things in his life.

Snapping a suspender strap, FP snickered and adjusted his hat. All pieces were in black complete with an emerald green tie. It was beyond ridiculous but proper and fitting for the time period. "I got a feeling the nightlife isn't what we're used to, but I've got a good feeling it'll still be something. What do you think?"

Faith had been tempted to go ahead and dress like she normally would because she didn't give a shit about traumatizing the locals but she was already a little wary about the whole date thing...because date. Being open emotionally was not her thing, it never ended well.

Instead she gave in a at least put on a dress that wouldn't stick out too much but her hair was down and she was wearing low boots in case she had to kick something. If she did there was a hell of a show going to happen with her in a skirt.

"They'd probably pass out if it was nightlife like I was used to."

"Just don't expect me to do much dancing." There had been a place in passing where FP had taken note of it and it was not him. Not at all. Nothing about this particular era was, but he was making do. If anything, it would provide some interesting commentary for the evening.

"Looking nice, by the way." Faith always looked good in FP's opinion, though, in her own way. Whether it was throwing around some drunk or sporting something of his, FP would find a way to compliment her in his own way.

"Might give some of these ladies a run for their money, though. Saw a guy back there that I thought I'd have to have a talking to," he teased.

She gave him a look before she let out a soft huff of amusement. "Uh if I dance we're getting arrested so I think we'll have to sit this one out." She didn't so old style dancing all that much...although she was actually great at a waltz thank you bored prison ladies...but if he wasn't ready to do some dancing she wasn't going to push.

"Don't get too used to it. I'm going to flash the whole street if I have to get in a fight." She'd feel better if she was wearing the Serpents jacket but it definitely didn't fit the motif.

"You look pretty okay yourself. Clean up okay and all that."

"See, you say that and now I might try and find a decent fight." FP let out a laugh through his cheeky grin. He was teasing, of course. Fights would usually lead to bad things and bad things in portals usually lead to other bad things.

The last thing either of them needed was to end up in prison. Then again, they wouldn't stay there when - and if - the portal closed. It certainly teased his childish whim for mischief.

"I guess we're seeing what the local watering holes can offer, then." Offering his arm to Faith, they were likely to find at least one place that wouldn't disappoint them.

"Oh please like you haven't seen me flash all my goods plenty of times." Faith rolled her eyes and nudged him with her elbow, possibly trying to get him in the ribs to make him laugh so she didn't hit hard or anything.

And she'd done prison, thanks. Granted she was sure she could hold her own against anyone in there but they weren't that great on hospitality.

"I'm sure they have drinks. Good drinks at least."
