Nickname: Jeannie, Jay, BlueJay (to family), Spock (gee, thanks Vy), Jean Grey (again Vy), Jean sometimes to work associates.
Age: 27
Birthplace: Mysteria
Sex: Female
Occupation: Pharmaceutical Chemist
Appearance:
Standing 5'5ΒΌ" with a slender frame, Jeannie has brilliant blue eyes, delicately arched brows, and long silky brunette hair that she occasionally lightens with dye. Her fair-skinned oval face has high cheekbones, and, if you can actually get her to grin, you'll see dimples.
Personality: Clinically logical, there's a reason one of Jeanette's nicknames is Spock - Sometimes she can come off seeming somewhat emotionless. She's not, but much like the Vulcan for whom she's nicknamed, she does tend to suppress her emotions in favour of examining things logically and rationally. Neurotically perfectionist, she's a Type A personality, and likes things to be just so, if they're not, she'll not be able to rest until things are right.
History: Must be at least two paragraphs. Tell us about your character past and the events that have made them who they are.
Jeanette came to Miles at four years old, when he found her wandering the streets without anyone to accompany her. Of course, despite feeling the tap, he couldn't just take her, but when the teary child led him to her mother, the woman was sitting on a park bench staring vacantly into space. Catatonic. To anyone else, the cause might've been mystifying, but Miles knew what his young charge was, so the cause was likely not difficult for him to guess. He took Jeannie in, and arranged to have her mother sent to a care facility.
Jeannie may have been capable of stealing knowledge, but at that stage, she had no idea how to give it back. After several months with Miles, Jeannie learned to to give back what she'd taken, and accordingly gave everything back to her mother, but along with that, she transferred the knowledge of what had happened. Her mother, horrified, was only too willing to sign custody over to Miles.
When Jeannie was thirteen, her demonic blood father found her and tried to tempt her over to the dark side. When she resisted, he set about tormenting her, trying to drive her mad. What he actually succeeded in driving her to was a suicide attempt, and she probably would've succeeded if Miles and Aiden hadn't found her in time. When Aiden found out what had been going on, he hared off to find and kill the demon that had been tormenting Jeannie, while Miles did his best to console and reassure his daughter. There there have been a few bumps and scrapes over the years, but she's always pulled through thanks to Miles love and guidance.
When Jeannie was sixteen, she graduated from high school with honours and was offered a place at quite a few colleges. Though she was young and insecure about her self control, she enrolled to study at at Harvard, and left for college, coming home for regular visits. She studied biology and chemistry, and when she graduated she was offered work with several drug companies.
Recently she's been offered her dream job within the company she works for, on the proviso that she acts as a corporate spy by accepting a position she's been offered within one of the other companies and reporting back. If she didn't choose to accept, it was made clear her futre within the company would be limited. Faced with this moral dilemma and tempted to do the wrong thing, she's decided to return home to Mysteria, to her father, to sort out her head and decide what to do next.
Flaws:
Demonic - As much as she hates this side of herself and does her best to suppress it, it's always there, constantly tempting her to do the wrong thing.
Tightly Wound - Deeply fearful of her demonic nature, Jeannie is often afraid to relax, let go, and just be herself. Nobody trusts Jeannie less than Jeannie does herself.
Anemic - If she doesn't get enough iron rich meat, she tends to start feeling physically weak and shaky.
Merits:
Perfectionist - She will get it right. If she doesn't the first time, she'll keep trying till she does.
Conscience - If she does give into the temptation to do something bad, she will feel bad about it, which is probably the thing that keeps her strongest
