Occupation: Babysitter/Junior in High School/Volunteer in the maternity ward
Appearance: Average in height at 5'5, Nora's got deep hazel eyes that seem to change color based on the light. Sometimes they appear brown, sometimes green, and sometimes they are just hazel. She was born a blonde, but has recently begun dyeing it brown out of the box at the grocery store. She's not so good with the upkeep, and it will lighten the more she shampoos until she dyes it again. Usually she lets it hang in large curls down her back, unless she needs to tie it up to craft with the kids. Her complexion is very light, and in the summer she's prone to freckle lightly over her cheeks.
When out, Nora's wings are translucent, and look like giant sage green butterfly wings with black veins and black edges. They look throughly delicate, but are very strong, strong enough to lift her in the air. Unlike a butterfly, her wings beat extremely fast, more like a hummingbird. After she absorbs them, she's left with faint scars, resembling half a heart each.
Personality: Organized, responsible, and intelligent, Nora is wise beyond her years, useful for a girl with a mother who is a bit of a wild child. That doesn't mean she's all work and no play, though. She's pretty happy-go-lucky for a kid with a dead father and a demon after her. She loves to tease in good fun, and loves being teased back in return.
One thing she really feels she needs is stability. Her life is without it right now and she's ready to take a stand to keep from having to look over her shoulder all the time and live in a different city every few months. Even though she doesn't have the tools or a clue of how to do it, she's ready to charge in and take back her life.
Special abilities/talents: A gift of her kind of Angel, Nora's got empathetic powers when it comes to children. She knows when they feel sad, happy, or any other emotion. She can also impress upon them other emotions, particularly useful when dealing with infants. She has to be in physical contact with them to use this ability, though. There's no specific age when this power doesn't work, it is based on innocence.
Supernatural Affinity: Species/Group: Angel of Grace Power(s): Those belonging to an Angel of Grace, empathic powers when it comes to children. Preferred Method of Love Spreading: Children
History: Born to Audrey Taylor, fathered by David Greene, Nora wasn't ever going to have a traditional family life. With her dad an Angel of Wrath and her mother an Angel of Love, the two of them created sparks. Sometimes those sparks brought them to each other, and sometimes they drove them apart. They always worked together to make Nora's life as good as possible, though, and she loved them both equally.
Her whole life changed a few years ago, though. Her father had gone off, killing demons as he was known to do in his spare time. Only this time, he killed the wrong demon. This demon had a lover who was also a demon, one far more powerful than the one he'd killed. She'd gone after him, slaying him in front of their home one night. After dragging the body in to the doorway, she'd set the house on fire, hoping to kill Audrey and Nora as well. What she didn't know was that they'd been sleeping elsewhere that night. When they heard the news, Nora and her mother fled.
They've been living in hiding for almost 5 years, going from family friend to family friend looking for help. Invariably, each friend ends up scared and sends them on their way. Now, they're heading back, hoping someone from home will help them. Nora hopes they can, as she's missed her home and her friends.
Flaws: Hunted/Enemy- The demon that finished off her dad doesn't know for certain that she and her mother are still alive, but he's got a hunch. She's constantly looking over her shoulder for him.
Soft-hearted- Nora's got a weak spot for children. If one asked her to do something, she'd do everything within her power to make it happen. Even if it was completely out of her way and she was in a hurry.
Compulsion- Nora is neat to a fault. Not because she wants to be, because she has to be. She's got an agenda for school, one for her jobs, and one for her home life. Every day starts with a list and ends with a list. Checking off items gives her a sense of pride and security. All is right in the world if she has lists.
Merits:Dependable- If Nora says she'll do it, you might as well consider it done.
Reputation- Everyone around town knew her as the girl to call on when you needed a babysitter. Even those who didn't realize that children are her angelic calling because they didn't know she has an angelic calling. Now that she's back home, she's looking forward to cashing in again.
Crafty- Handmade paper? She did that last week with the Davidsons. Oh, you like Kenny's baby blanket? She knitted it herself. Nora loves crafting of any kind, and most of her babysitting gigs involve some kind of kid-oriented craft.
