Game: Idris Academy
basic information
Name: Noah William Forin
Nicknames: Most people just call him Noah or Forin though those involved in or know of Parkour also knows him as Bouncer.
Sex: Male
Age: 18
Birthday: August 15th, 1992
IC IM: nwforin
Nationality: Canadian/French
Sexuality: Heterosexual. (He's never really experimented with his sexuality, not feeling the need or want for it.)
Year: 7th
House: Araboth
Type: Witch
Special Ability: Toxin generation.
Noah has the ability to secrete venom through his skin, from Cyanotoxin to Necro- and Neurotoxins. Without any concentration his body will exude Cytotoxins though he has learned to adapt that into other kinds as well. Over the years his control has extended even further and while he still secretes the toxicophore (the very base for making the various toxins) it now takes conscious thought for it to react with the enzymes needed for the toxin to become, well toxic. A perk of his ability though, is an extremely strong resilience to toxins, though this isn't something that's always been there but more something that's come after years of having breathed in the fumes of the toxins he's created.
Electives: Magical Balance, Magical disguise, Higher Science II.
Campus Activities: Dance company, Gymnastics/Parkour (President)
appearance
PB: Charlie Hunnam
Height: 6'2"
Build: Muscled (~195lbs)
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: Blond
Noah has a sort of boyish charm to his looks which he happens to be rather fond of, thank you very much, and he is careful to take care of it. It's not so much that he's vain, he just likes looking good and will only roll his eyes over anyone who tries to poke fun of him for it. Due to having started with parkour at an early age, Noah has developed a rather strong, wiry body. While he is fairly strong there's none of the bigger, bulkier muscles to show off and he doesn't really look like he can pull off even half of what he does. But the training he does isn't to build muscles it's to move and to be agile and that he quite certainly is. Over the past year something about him has changed and he looks haggard and tired and his eyes have taken on a near haunted quality and while he still smiles, the smiles never quite seem to reach his eyes.
Clothes wise he prefers things that allow him to move around easily and he usually can't wait to get out of the school uniform as soon as the final class ends, finding that while they uniform isn't bad it doesn't really make for wearing when you feel like bouncing on the walls (quite literally). While Noah most does go for the looser style of sweats or cargo pants paired with tees or sweaters he does clean up pretty well, though even when cleaned up, you can be sure that he is wearing something that won't break if he decides to go goofing off a bit.
personality
Strengths: Disciplined, focused, charming, head for numbers, confident.
Weaknesses: Tends to over think things, neat freak, smokes, thinks parkour ie. always looks at things considering how he could use them to get by, loner, blunt.
Weird Quirks:
* Always, always does his bed in military fashion, and yes you will be able to bounce a coin of it.
* Refuses to wear his mother's dog tags even despite the fact that he insisted on having them as he went off to Idris.
* Wears 3-quarter pants, year round. School uniform and when dressed up being the exceptions.
* Teetotaler, has never had one drink of alcohol in his life and has no plans on ever drinking.
Secrets
* A sucker for chick flicks, hence why he doesn't complain about taking girls to see those kind of movies.
* Has a very strong aversion towards flying.
* Completely terrified of open flames.
* Would happily offer an arm or a leg to know what happened to Chryssa and to have her back.
* Is partaking in a Anger Management program.
Likes: Parkour/Freerunning, music, cigarettes, fighting, his sister, girls in general, sports, big cities, backpacking, living on the edge, soda.
Dislikes: Open flames, planes, white noise, red meat, crossword puzzles, autumn, juice pulp, fresh fruits in general, hot beverages.
His powers are something that has sort of made Noah a bit distanced, not wanting to harm people in case he gets too distracted and starts producing poisons. Something that unfortunately does happen at times but mostly just when he gets into a severe state of anger or sadness. This was far more common when he was younger and didn't have nearly as good a control of it and at more than one time ended up doing unintentional harm to his girlfriends, friends and even at one time his sister. He still feels horribly guilt over the past events and this is part of why he keeps as close touch with Kathleen, trying to be the best brother he can be to make up for it.
While Noah's always been a flirt, this is a quality of his that seems to have diminished. Not that he doesn't flirt with the ladies but he's grown more selective in his ways but always has a friendly smile and a kind word for any woman that passes his way. He's been having issues, not just with his own feeling but with how he really relates to the rest and especially so since Chryssa vanished. He views her as a sort of emotional token, as something that could keep him calm and happy but now she's nowhere to be found and it is having an impact on Noah.
He can be charming to a fault and while being a nice person Noah has started to distance himself from people a bit more than he normally did. He was never much of wanting to be the center of attention and this has become even more so. While his training is still as captivating and fun as ever, half the time he spends working out is done so to try and keep him from dwelling too much and from getting too caught up in what he likes to call Unpleasant Thoughts. This as much as his usual training obsession does causes him to loose track of time and, yes, the boy still has severe issues with being late to classes, meetings and everything else that happens in his life.
Noah was never the most patient guy and this might be the biggest change in him from his previous year, his temper has grown worse. He is currently undergoing treatment for his Anger Issues but whether that is working or not is quite doubtful. Noah has grown resentful and while the usual tirades of foul language remain rather unchanged, one could not say the same for his physical expression of the anger and pain he's going through. He has started getting into fights, sometimes even venturing into bad areas looking for trouble, just so he can find a way to get an outlet for his emotions and while in fights he seems to be loosing himself, not really knowing what has happened once they are over. His anger seems to take longer to dissipate and even once it's settled it seems to be still lurking just under his skin, he's almost constantly wound too tight, like a hard-coiled spring ready to snap at any moment.
The boy Noah once was seems to be fading, leaving in its place a man that holds a strong anger and contempt for the world while still struggling not to give up completely. He knows he has issues and he IS trying to deal with them, some in his own way and perhaps not in the best of ways, but at least he's trying. The rose-tinted glasses he once seemed to wear are gone and while he acts a lot like he used too, life seems to have lost a great part of the joy it once had.

Philippe and Monique were high school sweethearts, one of those cute couples you never thought would last once they graduated but they somehow managed. Not that it wasn't rocky at times, but it probably would have been a lot worse had the pair not shared the same dreams and aspirations. Fresh out of high school Philippe joined the army and after two years as a cadet went onto sign up for the real deal and was soon joining the ranks of the Armored Corps. It was a choice of life he never once regretted and while spending a lot of time away from his girlfriend it seemed the whole thing did not deter her. While not joining the cadet force Monique did at age 18 join the air force, something that didn't quite sit right with her family but was an extreme source of pride for Philippe.
They married in '89 and for the following years the times they saw each other were not very long but but found comfort in having something to come home to, someone who would understand what they went through. If anything their times apart seemed to just strengthen the bond between the two. In the autumn of '92 the pair had their first child, or rather children, a boy and girl, twins. While getting the offer to just go on maternity leave and then later return to work Monique turned it down, she found herself re-evaluating her position in the military and in life in general and while she quit, Philippe requested transferal to the reserve, something that was only granted a few years later.
The first couple of years wasn't really all that exciting, Monique and Philippe started arguing, not really getting along too well now that she had to always be home alone with the kids and when Noah and Kathleen were 4, Monigue took a job as an independent consultant, working on everything from aviation designs to airport designs. This meant that Philippe had to start staying home with the kids more, and finally got his transfer to the reserve force in Montreal approved. For the kids this took a bit to get used too, from never having seen their father to nearly never seeing their mother was after all a big change but with Monique working abroad it made their relationship better.
In the winter of of '97, after having spent Christmas apart from her family, Monique was flying to Hawaii to celebrate the beginning of the New Year with them. The kids were overjoyed and more than a little hard to handle, being in a new place, tropical island and waiting for their mother. Sadly what would have been a happy family reunion turned into a disaster as the plane upon landing failed to deploy the wheels and ended up skidding on the belly for a good part of the runway before coming to a halt. Less than ten seconds later it exploded into a huge ball of fire, startling and terrifying the awaiting passengers and personal at the airport. Nearly 200 people died in the crash and still to this day Noah has nightmares about the ball of fire that erupted from the plane. The following year was hard, the kids struggled a bit but soon adapted into a life with just their father. Though Philippe was completely devastated and at times it was even a struggle getting up in the morning for him, because of this he left the care of the kids largely to his and his late wife's parents.
Despite this, their childhood was a mostly happy time, sure they fought and caused troubles and whatnot but they were never alone. Summers spent playing soccer with his sister, in winter she joined him and the other kids on the ice. Both of them were active but Noah actually more so than his sister and where she started slowing down with the sports, sticking to only soccer, Noah branched out even more and at the age of 10 he and a few friends started training something called parkour. It was something one of the kids had picked up from a recent movie. As the years went the once fairly big group got smaller and smaller but the remaining members interest in parkour grew and they soon got in touch with other groups within the Montreal area.
As sports has always been a big part of Noah's life, it was through this that he first started noting his ability. It started to manifest during training, after, whenever he was active in some way he would get headaches, feeling like parts of him were going numb and slowly but surely his body was giving out on him. It puzzled those around him and even the doctors he started seeing at first since there were no traces of anything no reason for him to have a low blood pressure or anything similar. It wasn't until he finally collapsed that a nurse doing a complete screening on him found extremely high levels of Cytotoxins in his blood and he was promptly searched for animal bites. As none was found it was suspected that someone was poisoning him and an investigation was started. For nearly four months Noah was hospitalized and for a part of that time only his sister was allowed to see him as they suspected his father being the one to poison the boy.
Being eventually released from the hospital and returned home to his father's care Noah seemed okay for a time, though after a bit those around him grew sick and when he didn't think things could get much worse came the invite to Idris. He was skeptical at first and pretty much ignored it and it's implications at first and not until Kathleen fell very ill, she as well with high levels of Cytotoxins in her blood did Noah consider that it might in fact be true. He didn't really wait for the next term to start but packed his bags and left right then and there, hoping that whatever that place was it could help him stop this, stop him from hurting more people and perhaps give some sort of explanation for what was happening to him.
Extended History:
As the spring term was coming to an end, Noah's life had changed slightly. With new friends, and most of all, Chryssa back in his life Noah was at the top of the world. Even if this never seemed to last for too long, the re-kindled relationship was stormy to say the least. His professional competing was taking a toll due to his distractions and when finally the exams came around, sooner than they should have been the pair took a break. Noah focused everything he could into his papers and did fairly well on the exams. He had been too caught up in that to pay any attention to what went on around him and when he went to look for Chryssa before leaving for summer break, he learned of her disappearance. At first he assumed she'd just really needed a break but after a few days of trying to get a hold of her, his initial annoyance broke into something else. No one seemed to know where she was or anything and as the weeks moved on, the worry turned to dread and his world started spiraling downwards.
At the end of summer he managed to injure himself, tearing a ligament in his left knee as he landed after a high jump. It didn't seem so bad at first but within a month he had to go through a surgery to have the ligament fixed and in order to avoid a permanent limp he was ordered not to train for nine months and to stay off any sort of jumps for a year. It was a blow he wasn't really all too happy to take and rather than to return to Idris for the autumn term Noah remained in Montreal with his sister, getting a job as a salesman at a nearby car-firm. Despite having Kathy so close, Noah kept slipping, he only trained from time to time, his smoking habit went through the roof and he started street fighting. It was not until Kathy had a fit and the pair got into a harsh verbal fight, that ended with her passing out from the fumes he had unintentionally started releasing, that he finally relented. After making sure that Kathy was okay he'd wandered out, gone to the nearest Psychologist's office to get some help with his anger. Anger Management and Physical Therapy were not the two major things in his life, and while he did try and cut back on the smoking and fighting, it wasn't really going too well. Noah didn't trust himself anymore and while reluctantly, he agreed to go back to Idris for the spring term, if nothing else then at least that way Kathy would be safe from him.
