Happy Birthday, Severus
1. Why do you like Severus Snape? He is the most intriguing character in HP Canon and Snape is portrayed by Alan Rickman in the movies. He looks ensnaring and I fell in love with this absolutely sexy black velvet voice! Rickman could read the telephone directory and I would melt in joy. Oh, and Snape is a sarcastic git (just like me).
2. What job does Severus have after the war? I don't care, as long as he is alive and kicking.
3. What you would serve him for his birthday tea? Naked Remus in ropes on the dinner table, used as a plate with Severus' favourite food on it.
4. What would you give him as a gift? I don't know, Remus is already on the table, a huge jar with lube, perhaps?
5 Severus/Remus/Sirius - Shag, Marry, Cliff? (you may substitute another character for Sirius, preferably, your OT3 fave) Cliff: Sirius - he won't be lonely, Umbridge is already there Shag: Severus and Remus - separate and both at the same time Marry: not possible - Severus and Remus are already married to each other
6. Your favourite Severus art - why and with link. I love the picture The Silk by YanaGoya. Snape is so sexy there and he looks like Alan Rickman. I wish I could touch his belly in this pic. link: http://www.fanart-central.net/pic-618967.html
7. Your favourite Severus story - why and with link. There are so many stories out there, which I love to reread once in a while.
HET: My favourite het-pairing is: SS/MM, therefore I love shadowycat's stories on fanfiction.net. The one I have read most, would be: "Truth Beyond Memory". I love a good bit of angst and drama, and the longer the story the happier I am.
GEN: There are quite a few angsty GEN stories out there, which I love. Two are haunting me. Snape gets very abused in those. The first one is: "Choices by Alannis". Dumbledore is using sorta Legilimency on Snape to expose his memories to everyone of the Order. Those memories are so horrible, and so well written, that one is unable to forget them. And some are better forgotten. Great work, go and read it! The second one is: "A bad Prank" by faith5bye5 In this story Harry and his friends (not HG) are pranking Snape and they are horrified by his strong reaction. On top of it, Snape and Black come to blows in Dumbledore's office. Snape snaps and AD tells Black and Lupin to take care of Snape by taking him to his childhood home. - I love this suicidal, and so broken Snape that he is unable to stand the sight of food, and his horrible past that gets uncovered along the way.
CHILDHOOD: Stories of Snape's childhood can be so exiting and the best I have ever read are the stories of Atana and Lady Tesser, which can be found on FF.net. Those stories are addictive. Those two authors wrote two separate but related storylines. Atana wrote the angsty Snivellus/Marauders stories and Lady Tesser wrote the humorous Snips and Spirals stories. Reading those stories is a real task, because there are so many of them and they are all worth the read. You can find them on Atana's ff.net profile: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/560311/Atana You should begin with Lady Tesser's story: "The Duo Meets" and read all following 36 Snips and Spirals childhood stories and then you should read Atana's story "A Joke Gone Wrong" and its 5 sequels. If you have not enough yet, then you could read the last three Lady Tesser stories with adult Snape: "The Lady of Slytherin", "Holiday in Crete", "Rectifying the Past". Where he and his best (female) friend meet again and decide to get together as a couple. Sadly the last one is unfinished.
SLASH: Too many great stories out there, to just pick one or two. Snape/OMC "A Gift of Light" by Josan - It starts out as a Snupin, but it ends up Snape/OMC. Snape has a werewolf son, and Dumbledore is an utter arse. Gosh, this story is a work of art.
That's it folks. I could go on and on, but I won't. It's late, therefore I will add a must read Snupin rec list on lupin_snape in the next months as A Decade of SS/RL entry.
