Bittersweet and rue?
This is very poignant. Using the language of herbs, with Remus's werewolf sense of smell, and Severus's knowledge and gardens, is sheer genius. The way you wrote it though, made me smile and cry and fall in love with them all over again. And with you! Wonderfully done.
