Severus was about to tell him that First Footers were traditionally male when mother and daughter returned. Julie/Judith's scowl made her look amazingly like a teenaged female version of Severus.
Esther smiled at the sight of Johnny, who had returned to drooling on his Yule-themed overalls. "Is that Johnny? Come to Esther and let her take a good look at you!"
"He's doing well," said Remus, banishing the drool. "Happy, healthy, and trying to stand up."
