His quest had taken him around the globe. Remus, now, trudged up the steep hill; magic would’ve given him away. The craggy foothills of Ben Nevis were reminiscent of his quarry. Rumors had surfaced during the summer that a mad scientist had taken up residence. What better place to hide then in plain sight? This mountain range was almost as busy as King’s Cross Station. Finally, at the door of the small cottage, Remus knocked. The door flung open, and there stood a wild-haired, bespectacled, whirlwind dressed in black.
“Took you long enough, Lupin.”
Remus silenced him with a kiss.
