New faces in familiar places

A black portal opens in the middle of the cafe and a moment later a stern faced, obviously annoyed looking young blond stomps out and heads to the bar. Clutched in the blond's fist in a death grip could barely be made out to be a girly type trash magazine.

"I'll kill him. And I mean it this time!" The blond muttered to herself. "He got away with this crap when it was distant dimensions but now... ON MY OWN DOORSTEP!"

The woman pauses long enough to glance up and acknowledge the bartender.

"Something really strong that I probably shouldn't be drinking." She says to them and goes back a moment later to muttering to herself.

"I really liked that body too. It was cute and more than a few times I was told it was perky!"

"PERKY!" She nearly yells and then looks up apologetically to the bartender. "Sorry. I'm upset." A moment later she asks. "Tell me, do you think this body is perky?"

A puppet in search of his puppetmaster?

[info]puppet_blade
[info]lunatic_cafe
As one of the patrons of the Cafe opened the door to enter, there was a quick pattering of feet and something small scuttled inside before the door could close again.

The lights in the cafe this evening were slightly dimmed to allow the patrons to enjoy the Christmas lights and decorations that adorned almost every square inch of the interior of the cafe. The main dimmed lights also allowed the small dark figure to go mostly unseen as it momentarily took refuge under a huge Christmas tree right beside the front door. Those that did manage to catch a glimpse of the figure merely raised an eyebrow and then went back to their dining and/or drinking. After all stranger things were seen in the cafe on a regular basis.

The doll figure posed next to a large nutcracker under the tree for a moment before it scuttled out to stand and pause at the entrance signs to the cafe warning about weapons not being allowed in the cafe.

The tiny figure with the porcelain face looked up at the sign and then glanced at his right arm which ended in a knife blade and then raised his left 'hand' to reveal a wicked looking hook. If anyone had been looking at the creature's face they would have seen twin tiny spikes shoot forward to be seen in the thing's dark eye sockets before being pulled back. This continued several times, giving voice to the doll like creature's frustration.

Finally the puppet noticed small print near the bottom of the sign. "Note: No Weapons rule only applies to creatures, beings, androids, cyborgs or other life forms that can remove their weapons. If such weapons are impossible to remove or sheathed because they are part of your physical makeup let it be known the rule is amended for your sake and you may enter the cafe but the no violence rule is still strictly in force.

Impossible of course but it almost looked as if the puppet breathed a sigh of relief before once again darting back to the shadows of the tables and chairs and made its way deeper into the cafe.

Finally reaching the bar the puppet pulled it way up the side of it till it could sit on top of the bar. And there it sat as if waiting.

look who's out of retirement for a day. quick before she's back in the suitcase.

Through the tears and wtfery, Deina somehow managed to survive anything the Nexus put her through. And as luck would have it, the craziness and uncertainty that was her life for the last few years was mysteriously (conveniently) gone. Now she entered in the Cafe with a bill in hand, searching it over with an incredulous look, "Two-hundred and fifty dollars? Really?"

Taking a seat at the bar, she rummaged through page after page before complaining some more, "I mean, who spends that kind of money on porn?"

The asian knew her man sometimes was gone for months at a time with his duties, but that gave no excuse to run up a two-hundred and fifty dollar bill. If she didn't know any better, she would have guessed Imp 13 was behind this. Hmm. An interesting possibility. She'd have to de-wing that little freak. Was she missing a credit card?

Spinning the simple, silver wedding band on her finger, she just couldn't believe this bill. Imp 13 or no, that's a lot of freaking porn.

Boredom hurts. It really does.. at least it does when a goddess has a game controller in her hand.

There was a goddess in the cafe. One that actually hadn't appeared in this nexus since.. well, has she ever been here officially? She wasn't really sure. But it was just as well. At the moment she was monopolizing the large tv screen in the lounge by hooking up an XBox 360 where she was playing, and this was no shock to anyone that knew her, Left 4 Dead 2.

She was also shouting phrases in various languages, or maybe it was gibberish, into the microphone headset she was wearing. Apparently her multiplayer experience online was not going well. A few of the staff were watching the goddess swear and kill zombies all while taking bets on if the players online would be turned into stuffed animals, gerbils, or be strung up on someone's wall.

The former sky pirate was hungry. Yet, he had forgotten to go shopping for food. Eh, he'd go tomorrow, but the man was hungry.

So, he came to his favorite food establishment. The Lunatic Cafe.

Victor orders a steak and potatoes with an iced tea and takes a seat in a booth.

So there once was this girl... ((Kids, we'll give it an R rating for the wtfery & language.))

[info]phantasm
[info]lunatic_cafe
She was just an ordinary girl who was living in the nexus. She was new to the whole nexus thing, but that wasn't the point. The point was that she was in the cafe for the very first time to meet her new neighbors.
After all, what better way to celebrate perfect humiliation than by getting utterly smashed just to show how it can't get worse?

She'd never been in the cafe before, but she'd heard things from her friend Egon. (Who was not one of the Ghostbusters, despite her name for him.) She knew the rules (good for her) and found a corner table in a nice spot where she could sit against a wall. She liked her back to the wall when she drank. That way when she hit the floor there was a chance the wall could catch her fall. Hey, it made sense to her.

A pretty young waitress came over to take her order and Miki settled on any beer brand they had that was good. She wasn't too picky. Once she got her drink, she took a swig and waited for her neighbors to show up.

((Yeah, expect drunken behavior, bad language, innuendos, not so innuendos...))

IDPD Inspector Rick Parker walks through the doors of the cafe while on his cell phone, a file in hand. Though, he hasn't realized he's there.

"No. I don't care what you have to do, how many favors you have to pull, or how many judges you have to wake up. Get me that warrant. This guy has murdered three couples. I'm not looking to add number four. Get it done."

He slams his phone shut then takes in his surroundings.

"I've been here before."

He looks around and takes a seat.

Boredom

[info]susan_imp
[info]lunatic_cafe
A small black portal appears in the middle of the cafe and out of it flies Susan.
Landing on a table she seems to ponder for a moment but then with a shrug of her tiny shoulders she pulls one of the napkin holders over on its side and uses it as a seat and remains on the top of the table rather than take a human form and sitting in a chair.

After all one of the major pleasures of the cafe was the atmosphere that allowed one to be one's self.

Rather than disturb the overworked cafe staff Susan opens a portal and reaching in pulls out a drink and slowly sips it while watching the patrons of the cafe going about their business.
She really hoped someone she knew came by so she could have a chat.
She was feeling restless and bored.
