"It still comes down to a matter of power and alignment. Those not powerful enough would only piss off Lilith with the attempt and risk her and Lucifer's wrath and those powerful enough to do something that might work are probably aligned with evil in the first place and wouldn't do it."
"And again if you go towards the light side of the equation for help, most wouldn't do it because I am a demon and my 'children' are imps and those that might take pity and try help us, would likely not be strong enough to stop Lilith."
"Don't forget Lilith has crashed parties given by Silence and she is a goddess in her own right." Bard wasn't sure if Lois knew Silence or not but he just automatically assumed that everyone knew his adopted sister.
"Many assume that a 'shield' of protection can be created to keep evil out. It is more like a maze. The powerful and sneaky can always find a way in if they are willing to put the pain and effort into it. And just my luck I have an obsessed bitch that is willing to spend eternity if she has to, just to see me suffer."
Susan had fallen asleep in Bard's arms and Weirdbard continued to gently rock her. Bard looked down on her lovingly and sighed.
"I've been through a lot." He admitted. "By definition a lot, cast out of Heaven for a bad decision. Finding out the one I gave up all for was a two timing back stabbing bitch. Getting chased out of Hell by Lucifer and Lilith. Finding friends. Having said friends attacked repeatedly by Lilith."
He looked up and caught Lois's eyes.
"But I'm strong and have survived but I never wanted my imps to have to put up with all this shit. If I could just refocus Lilith's rage on me and get her to leave my imps alone I would be happy."
