Bard gave a sharp dry laugh. "Does that surprise you? God after all created the 'grand scheme of things' in the first place. Of course he is ahead of Lucifer but Lucifer is blinded by his ego and power and doesn't see it.
And deliberately twisting your logic, if God gave sentient beings freedom of choice so there can be no corruption...then there can be no sin. For if you cannot be tempted into doing something, then how can it be evil if you do it?"
Bard shrugged. "I freely admit I don't know what goes through God's mind and I don't even want to try and guess what goes through Lucifer and Lilith's. My job when I was an angel was to view other dimensions for a busy god and then condense down what I saw and make an interesting report each 'day' for the lord. Hence my latin title which translated into Glorious storyteller. It was changed to Weridbard after I was cast out with the rest."
