"My world had our fair share of problems even though Buffy took out the Master." Sometimes Cordelia missed their world, but at least out here she could do more than just wait around and watch over people from afar. Death just wasn't that big of a deal around here, for which she was grateful. She had rules to follow, but she could at least interact with her friends and even be useful. "It doesn't actually make anything better, just different. It's perspective that makes it better or worse."
Lilah's scar made that eyebrow of Cordelia's arch again. She had taken the Master out? Huh. "I'm almost impressed. But hey, as long as you got out alive and saved the day, a scar isn't that bad of a souvenir. Of course, I'd be on my way to get that thing off of me as soon as it was over, but that's me."
"Close." She tossed her hair over her shoulder. "Lawyer for an evil law firm. I'd say she was misunderstood or something vaguely nice about her, but I'd be lying. But I can at least respect her skills even if she was a terrible person who made poor life choices."
