Harley was gone for a bit and when she came back she had changed her clothes and scrubbed off her harlequin makeup. Fortunately she had some normal clothing stashed in her handbag.
The only reason she had been wearing her harlequin costume and makeup in the first place was because she thought it was only fitting that when she off'd the Joker it would be as the twisted doll he had created.
Harley planned to bury her Harley Quinn personality right alongside that of the Joker's body and try to start over but since the Joker wasn't here. At least Harley hoped he wasn't around somewhere. She was going to relax and be normal for as long as it lasted.
Sure, sooner or later she had to get back to her hunt for the killer clown. For as long as he lived, she could never be truly free but for right now? She was going to enjoy her dessert and flirt and laugh.
Looking at Tiffany who was waiting right at her table for her to return she said with a smile. "Never wear white pancake makeup if you can avoid it sweetie. It's murder to get off..." Harley's smile broke to be replaced with a look of utter heartbreak for a moment before she replaced it once again with a forced smile.
