"Slipping away?" Sil 'hrmmed' thoughtfully. "That sounds a little like how I started this whole.. thing. To use my father's inheritance I tap into that always constant well of negativity he feeds off of." Which meant that much of her own power was being fueled the same way. "When I first started, I guess the best way to describe it would be like a Jedi using the Dark Side of the Force, sometimes that line between who I was and what I wasn't or didn't know, tended to blur. But I also learned that after that Playground fiasco, to deny the powers would just be like letting a concoction bubble over the rim of a cauldron and snuffing out the flames underneath. I put it in motion and have to see it through or do more damage." She grimaced at the memory of how a great many of her spells and enchantments had gone awry or withered away as time went on after Daddy Dearest had reminded everyone that he existed. The side effects of many of them hadn't been pretty.
She shook her head to clear her thoughts again. "But enough about that before I go on a tangent. Well, another one anyway." She stirred her flashy purple drink with the neon pink curly straw that was in it. "Are your abilities part of the reason for your wanderings?"
It was worrisome that he might have been gallivanting about because of a fear of losing that sense of self. Still, she wasn't poking him with a stick for detailed information on the inner workings of his mind just yet (she was just tapping with a toothpick), but she did have said stick ready should she need it. She was trying to be a respectable and mature person these days when it came to prying. But if anyone would argue that, she'd quickly say that moving people to another reality was just the equivalent of a mystically endowed moving company or travel agent. Yup.
