May I first express my sincerest gratitude for your acquiescence in what I can only assume is an entirely nontraditional, and perhaps impractical agreement to allow me to partake in Balamb Garden's curriculum. I do hope the scenario isn't a terrible inconvenience, nor do I wish for my presence to cause disruption among the staff and student body. That is the heart of the reason behind this correspondence.
I've no doubt that my father has requested particular benefits in my favor for the duration of my stay in Balamb. My "station", as he would put it, gives cause for certain "necessary" advantages and procedures. If at all possible, and with hope that it will not cause you further difficulty, I would like the belay those requests as much as can be helped. I've admittedly little experience in an environment such as the one Garden will provide, and would prefer not to distance myself further from my peers than might already be unavoidable. Nor do I wish to impose any sort of burden upon the faculty. I would prefer to be met on equal terms, as any other student in Garden's care.
I thank you for your consideration no matter the outcome, and I continue to look forward to meeting you in person.
