While the bartender went to retrieve her food, Beatrix busied herself by looking over the bar. A quiet night, but then again, she didn't imagine that Mondays were busy by any stretch of the imagination. Everything looked clean and organized, though, so the downtime was going to good use, as it were. She nodded her thanks as the bartender brought back her order, digging in her purse for her wallet and her credit card inside it.
And it was only then that his words hit her, and Beatrix looked up. It wasn't that he wasn't good looking, because he was. It just wasn't often that someone was so obvious in their flirtation with her. Probably because she didn't have the Save the Queen on her at the moment. "Oh really." She slid her credit card towards him, a reminder that he still had a job to do. "And why would I do that?" Yes, she was dining alone. No, it was none of his business.
