(around 7:30pm)
Whenever it snowed, most people's first instinct was to rush out to the store beforehand and get whatever items they needed. Bread, milk, that sort of thing. Beatrix, on the other hand, wasn't that sort of woman. She knew her pantry was stocked and she and her kitties had everything they might need. She even had her shovel set up by the front door so she would have it ready the following morning to shovel out. No, she wasn't going to pay anyone to help her with that, Beatrix was quite capable of taking care of that on her own, thank you very much.
That just left the thought of dinner that night. Beatrix wasn't a terrible cook, and she knew enough to get by, but sometimes it was better to have someone else do the hard work for her. There wasn't a better place to get food in town than Curiel, so Beatrix called in her order ahead of time, so it would be ready when she arrived. Nothing too fancy, chicken alfredo and garlic bread on the side, but it saved her the hassle of making dinner at home. Tomorrow night, when all the snow came, she'd make something.
At about half past 7, she walked into the restaurant. She'd ordered food here before, and knew to pick it up at the bar. Tucking a lock of dark hair behind her ear, she gave the man a small, polite smile. "Good evening. I've got a to-go order, under the name Alexander?"
