It had been another long, but fulfilling evening. The children had been extra rambunctious for some reason and even though she was young, Vanille had a hard time keeping up with them sometimes. Especially today. But she loved it. It brought her a joy and comfort in life that not many things could. She had truly found in her calling here in the orphanage.
At the moment, Vanille was looking through some old letters she had gotten from children that had left the orphanage in one way or another. Most of them were filled with gratitude and tales of life now that they were out in the world.
Fang's voice snapped her out of her thoughts and a warmth that even surpassed what she was feeling currently spread throughout her and filled her full to bursting. These feelings only seemed to get worse as time went on and it confused her to no end.
"Very! Just some of the letters sent from the past kids we've had here," she ran her hand along the edge of one of the well worn letters. Sometimes this was just what she did when she was feeling particularly nostalgic. Vanille set the letter down and turned to face Fang, a huge smile on her face. "Everyone nice and comfy? I was worried some of them wouldn't want to sleep tonight."
