Thursday's Episode
Original poster: chelseafrew
I didn't see another post with comments or thoughts about yesterday's episode, so I thought I'd start my own. :-)
I forced this episode upon my best friend and both she and I were impressed with the sheer amount of Nuke there was in this episode. I thought the quality of said sheer amount was pretty good, too.
My thoughts, in no particular order:
Luke, honey, in order for Noah to even *know* what you're talking about, perhaps you might consider not beating around the bush the way you are. :-)
Luke is clearly nervous about coming on too strong, but in order for Noah to say "I love you," Luke is going to need to say that to Noah. Although it was a lovely moment, it doesn't actually count when you scream at your boyfriend's father that you love your boyfriend. I understand why Noah is a little confused. Plus, I do think Luke needs to take his father's advice and be patient with Noah. He hasn't had the same kind of time Luke has to become comfortable with being gay.
How much did I crack up at the "I'm gay. I'm Stacy" exchange? A lot. That was awesome, and very Noah. I do think he just needs time to build up his comfort level.
I loved the little therapy moment at the beginning. That kind of moment has worked for me every time they've done that, and I hadn't thought I'd get another now Luke is recovering further, so that was a little bonus. I was also thrilled that Noah assured Luke both that Luke can tell him anything *and* that Luke couldn't push him away. I also loved their little trip through Old Town together and that this time, Luke was able to move from the wheelchair to the other chair (even if I still don't understand his rate of recovery here; whatever). The handholding was also nice. :-) But I still want another kiss, dammit.
Lastly, I really like the dynamic between Luke and Holden. I think it's great Luke has someone to talk with so honestly about how he's feeling. And I also was happy Luke laid it on the line with Lily. Lily and Holden have, IMHO, handled this whole divorce thing very poorly (from lying to the kids to their horrendous timing given Luke's accident), and it was good Lily was finally called to the carpet on her behavior. How embarrassing for her that she was called so by her teenage son. I did feel so bad for Noah having to be the bearer of the bad news. He looked so pained.
I have not heard anything about what is going to happen next week, so I hope that doesn't translate to no Nuke next week. In any case, I am very much going to look forward to what happens with the boys, and yesterday's episode will make me happy all weekend...
