1miracle is away and asked me to post the spoilers for the week, so...
Here is a list of Luke/Noah spoilers from various sources. These are for the week of November 3-7, 2008:
Luke and Noah will be on Tuesday (November 4).
From tvguide.com:
» Noah won't condone Luke's actions.
From MSN:
» Noah won't tolerate Luke's actions.
Soaptown/CBS.com:
» Luke breaks the rules and suffers the consequences.
From Soapdom (Sneak Peeks):
» Luke gets his just desserts when breaks the rules. What consequences will he suffer? Will Noah be there to bail him out?
From SOD:
» Luke does what he must to win the election on Tuesday, November 4.
» Noah can't do what Luke asks.
» Fed up with Kevin's mudslinging and dirty tricks, Luke takes desperate measures to get elected student body president this week--he cheats! Luke's unscrupulous move occurs on Election Day.
"Luke's just so furious that Kevin can get away with cheating and with doing all this crap and still win the election," Van Hansis (Luke) explains. "The straw that breaks the camel's back is that Kevin says that he'll buy people beer if they vote for him."
Casey runs into a dejected Luke and cracks that they should stuff the ballot box. Noah is appalled and advises Luke to steer clear of voter fraud, but his pleas fall on deaf ears. "For Luke, the end justifies the means," Hansis reasons. "He deserves to win, he should win and he'd be better for the school, so he makes himself win." Luke leaves the dirty work to Casey, and later celebrates a victory without Noah. Don't expect the party to last too long. "The fallout is pretty devastating for Luke," Hansis offers. "He has a lot to deal with after the election is rigged."
From SOW:
»Luke pulls out all the stops to win the Oakdale U election this week, but at what cost?
“A lot of people are going to have some issues with Luke after this because his halo’s pretty much getting knocked off and shattered,” previews Van Hansis (Luke). “He does some pretty bad things.”
But the passionate candidate truly believes he’s doing the right things, especially given Kevin’s dirty campaign. “It’s a lot of things for Luke. It’s the [homophobic] video that Kevin did. It’s everything that happened to Alison when she went to spy on Kevin’s campaign, and it’s the fact that Kevin buys beer on Election Day for people who vote for him,” explains Hansis. “I think what it all boils down to is that Luke still feels an intense amount of anger toward Kevin for how Kevin made him feel back in high school – and he’s just really pissed off that Kevin can cheat and cut corners and still come out on top. So Luke tries to fix that in the only way he feels he can.”
He confronts his nemesis. “It’s not like ‘Saint Kevin here’ like he’s innocent in all this while his campaign manager goes and [engages in smear campaigning], points out Hansis. “Kevin and Luke are both running really terrible campaigns; they should both be kicked out of school for what they’re doing. But Kevin does tell Luke that he’s got the election in the bag, and Luke goes, “Well, we’ll see about that.”
Fuming Luke ends up venting his frustration to Casey, who jokingly suggests that he stuff the ballot box. “Throughout the campaign, Noah and Alison are like the goody-goody ones, and Casey and Luke are the ones who are a little bit more ready to get their hands dirty and do things thaty maybe aren’t so legal,” notes Hansis. “Luke does hesitate, but he really wants to win, and one of Luke’s downfalls is that he can be really self-righteous. He feels like he deserves to win and he thinks that he’s doing the campus a favor by cheating so that he does win – when in reality, he’s pretty much taking people’s voices away.”
One person with a voice, Noah, makes his disapproval of Luke’s actions very clear. “Noah says that Luke is the one thing he can’t lie about and he is shocked that Luke would even doe something like this,” says Hansis.
Technically, Luke doesn’t. Once he decides the ballot stuffing is a go, it’s Casey, who has already been suspended from school, who carries out the plan.
Then, “Noah sees Luke at the victory party and just knows,” sighs Hansis, adding that Noah walks away without saying a word and “That really does hurt Luke. What hurts Luke even more is that even though he made a bad decision, he doesn’t understand why Noah won’t support him through it.”
Suffice it to say, President Snyder won’t be enjoying the benefits of his new position. “Coming down the road, Luke isn’t going to be enjoying much of anything,” warns Hansis. “It backfires pretty hardcore.”
