It had begun!
Commander Sybil Jones stared blankly at the report lying open on her desk. She’d been staring at it for the past few hours unable to understand what could have pushed one of her best men into this.
It was getting late she really should either report this, or leave it until the morning to see if he would reconsider.
The put making the choice off when her computer bleeped to let her know she had mail.
It contained an invitation, the e-mail had disabled the link, but the sender had known that would happen and had typed the raw url address on the bottom of the e-mail.
Sybil was taken to a web cam conference.

“Enough!” The man looked off screen at the third person. “If you can’t keep quiet you’ll have to leave.”
“Sorry.”
“You’ve made a new friend?”
“Yes, and no it’s not what your thinking.”
“So…it wasn’t a dark and stormy night?” Sybil asked.
“The storm delayed the mission by twenty for hours. If it hadn’t been for that delay everything probably would have gone to plan and I wouldn’t be making this report.” The man smiled. “But where’s the fun in that?”
Sybil frowned. “Indeed.”
She waited for the man to continue…
