Behind The Scenes
Part of taking over new territory was spreading fear and sowing seeds of mistrust, Joseph knew this better than anyone else.
He’d already began his campaign of fear by first attacking small branches before escalating into full out mayhem by incendiary devices being planted and blown. The press were having a field day, the local authorities not so much. Nothing could be traced, everything was easy to make and planned to the last meticulous detail so there was no paper trail.
Now was the time to rip the rivals apart from the inside out.
In the criminal world there was a certain level of begrudging amount of respect and it was that same level of reluctantly given feeling that Joseph intended on using to his advantage. Blood had been split, now was the time for the real work because anybody who was anyone knew that to control anything was to control the way things were thought and felt. It was the under table and behind closed doors deals that could put people away for a long time and have them killed by their own men or by those of another gang - the very same deals that the cops would sell their own kids to get their hands on.
This was something Joseph knew very well.
He intended on turning the fractions against one another, lead them to think and believe that they’d been turned in by the other. It would shake everything up, open up vulnerable clinks in a formidable front of scattered alliances, distracting them for just long enough for him to make a few more well executed moves.
This was why he’d been sent in, Joseph could think before acting and he knew how to hit hard enough to hurt and low enough to leave most people struggling for breath; all it took was patience and a natural ability.
The only thing left to do was to gather information to be used against the opposing force and where better to start than with disgruntled customers, recently fired workers and thoroughly abused partners, It was going to take a long of legwork, but nothing worth doing was ever easy, and Joseph was not going to report back to New York with nothing. Not when so much was riding on this - riding on him.
Joseph had all the time in the world and he intended on doing this right.
