WARNINGS: Is 'comedy' a trigger? Maybe it should be.
It was long overdue that the two most important women in Sebastian Matthews' life should meet. Aurora and Tasmin would love each other...if he could get them in the same room. He didn't think dinner was a smart idea, not at first and he really wanted Tasmin to get an idea of what his former life, the life without her, had been like. His life where no-one knew he was a werewolf and when they found out, it was with laughter and a 'oh honey, and here we thought you were going to tell us you liked girls!'
It was almost ironic that he was indeed coming into Imagination with a girl on his arm. Granted, it was not there there weren't ladies in the bar--there were quite a few, some of which he knew well and who had greeted him warmly. He'd not explained to Tasmin that there was a fair number of ladies but who were not in the strictest sense of the world 'female'. The transgendered community was one he'd been embraced by fully, even if he was seen as something of a square at times. He waved his hellos to old friends, introduced Tasmin a dozen times or more; some had been curious, others had been enthusiastic with their 'Oh so THIS is the little girl oh isn't just just PRECIOUS'. Some gave him wary looks but it had been that way for a while, ever since the Great Reveal.
He went over to the bar. It was Kayla at the corner and she already had Sebastian's usual Cuba Libre with lime and he ordered Tasmin a Bahama Breeze, something filled with loads of sweet liqueurs and honey and one of Kayla's best drinks. "Would you tell Aurora that I'm here with a friend for her to meet, Kay?" he said. It was early enough in the night where he didn't have to shout over loud music and dancing.
"Oh honey, Peggy went flying as soon as you hit the door," she said. "Oh my GOD, no one said she was so CUTE. You lucky thing..."
"Thank you, Kayla," Sebastian said, encouraging her to got and get their drinks. He was finally able to turn to Tasmin. The lights were flashing and he knew that she was going to be distracted but he hoped it was in a good way. "What do you think so far, dearest?"

Sebastian juggled keys, bags of groceries and a dozen or more troubles as he made his way up the back steps of Club Imagination.
Just after the turn of the 21st Century, Sebastian found himself alone on a New Year's Eve. That wasn't an unusual event, he had spent decades alone and probably would spend more that way. But as he walked the streets of his adopted city on an evening where the humans around him celebrated the passing of another year, he felt this solitude in a way he did not like. He ducked into the nearest building, which turned out to be a place called Club Imagination. It didn't take long for him to realize that the club catered to men who enjoyed the company of other men of all persuasions: ones who looked like stockbrokers, those who were flamboyantly open in their affections, some who looked as if this was their worst nightmare but had to come--women. Or those who appeared to be women. For him, it was easy to tell, the female hormone profile was unique, be it female human or female wolf. Even with hormone treatments, liberal application of makeup and surgical modification, there was no way to fool Sebastian.
He sat at the bar, watched the performance on stage. The women were so realistic looking that he could have easily been fooled if he was human, and they were extremely talented. He sat and watched, accepted a few drinks from several people but if they were hoping for his exclusive attention for the evening, they were sorely disappointed.
"And where's a nice boy like you been hiding all my life?"
He smiled at the memory as he set down his parcels and knocked on the door. "If you throw any kitchen implements, I will not be held responsible for my actions!" he called out to his former companion. He knew that she would be exceedingly angry with him if she knew the amount of money he was spending to keep her safe. He had not been able to prevent Hannah from falling victim to her illness, even when he offered to turn her into a were...he would be damned if he could not use what ability he had now to protect one he cared so much for. She had always lost Eric over all of this, the least he could do was ensure her freedom and to kept her out of the clutches of some vile vampire or other creature who would like to harm her.
