Aiden sat at the bar of the Three Broomsticks, reveling in how much the place had changed, and yet how everything seemed exactly the same. The bar was the same, but the tables were different, and in different places. There were also more of them now, but there weren't as many booths as there were during his own time. He had to admit, he kind of liked the atmosphere better now. It seemed more quaint now, more .. homey. It was more of a place he could imagine himself going to often, maybe even just going to hang out, not even to drink.
He swirled the last of his beer around in his glass, before motioning for the bartender to bring him another one. His mind, of course, went to his father. He'd been quite surprised when he showed up and Connor didn't know who he was. Then again, he hadn't exactly believed the Aurors when they had told him that there were people from all different time periods in the village, and no one really knew why. It had seemed crazy to him, until he had actually talked with Connor, and with Dominique. On top of that, there was the situation with his mother, Katherine. As freaked out as he was when he had found her in her apartment, he wasn't sad And that bothered him. If she really was dead, and Aiden was pretty sure she was, shouldn't he feel some sort of grief over it? She was his mother, after all.
"Only in name." He muttered. Katherine had never been a very good mother, and Aiden couldn't figure out why she had fought Connor for custody as hard as she had, when she didn't really even care. If he was to be honest, the one who he called 'mom' was Cam. Which, if he was right, was from a time before she and Connor ever got back together. Neither one of them had any idea what their lives held in store for them, but Aiden did, and that knowledge frightened him. He had no idea if he should tell them or not. What if it ruined the future? Then again, what if they didn't even remember it when they finally got back to their own times? A lot was at stake in the simple decision of 'do or don't', and Aiden had no idea what to do.
