Lily had never taken direction well. The only reason she had stayed in her room up to that point was because she hadn't really had an excuse to leave. When Fiona said she wanted to meet up, she wasn't going to deny her friend, especially after finding out that fucking Malfoy was there. She needed to vent to someone and Fiona had possibly unintentionally volunteered for that job.
As she walked to the door of her room, she glanced at the wrapped package she had for her mother. Before arriving here, it had been August 11th, her mother's birthday. Lily was just 10 days short of her own birthday. Now it was the end of May. If she was stuck here that long, she now had to wait even longer for her birthday. That was unless the ten days would still count. That might have to be something she looked into.
She shrugged that thought as she walked through the door and locked it, then made her way down the hall. Not a lot of people were in the hallway. She walked down the stairs to the first floor of the Inn and glanced toward the doors. There were two aurors standing guard. Figures. She rolled her eyes. Why did they think they could trap people in there anyway?
She walked through another hallway and found a door standing open. She had no idea who was in that room but she could only hope they would let her sneak out their window. She knocked on the open door lightly and when the person got to the door she gave an angelic smile. One she had perfected over the years. "I have a little problem," she said, biting down on her lip gently, "I have a friend in one of the other buildings who really needs my help. In her time, her boyfriend had just dumped her and she needs a shoulder to cry on. Of course the aurors don't understand a friend's loyalty and won't let me out, so could I maybe use your window?" she let her eyes water only slightly for effect. "It's really important, I'm worried about her."
Her story seemed to have the desired effect and they invited her in. She heard the door close behind her, likely so that no one who passed would see Lily sneaking out the window. She walked over to the window and slid it open before climbing through. She turned to flash the occupant of the room a grateful smile before walking away, remaining close to the building as she did so. It was a good thing that the cloaks that were provided for them were black. Her Harpies quidditch robes that she had arrived in would be too flashy for her to not be noticed. This way she pulled the hood up and could barely be seen at all.
She found the secret place and smiled to herself, tucking herself away. It had been one of her favorite makeout spots during her school years but now it would serve as two friends hiding away together after sneaking out of their buildings. Who needed to follow rules, really?
