Meet Hunter Wood. Once upon a time, this young man was known as Princess Aurora in the trickery kingdom, but over time, Hunter became the younger of a set of twins. He is a 26-year-old PhD student for classic folklore and literature at UCLB, a graduate of Pepperdine University in Malibu, and survivor of a horrific accident that left him in a coma for a few weeks before his Master’s Program. He grew up in the Hilltop District and attended LB Elementary and LBHS. Those from the Hilltop and his age would remember the scandal of his father catching him kissing another boy, who had been a fellow lead in the musical for their school. When not studying and keeping Forrest from losing his mind, Hunter is a dancer and helps teach ballet and lyrical while taking classes, sings in the local theater company, surfs, and runs a book review vlog and podcast.
Meet Nuno Chavez the 31-year-old son of an immigrant and brother to three DACA recipients. A long time ago, however, he was the Cheshire Cat. Nuno was raised by his Brazilian parents and the neighborhood grandparents in the Presidential Heights complex in East Bay. A family of six lived out of a two-bedroom apartment and struggled to get by. As a loud, mouthy kid with a short attention span, Nuno was picked on a lot and learned how to fight and when to run. He joined the Navy immediately after high school and became a corpsmen servicing with Marine Corps Recon in Afghanistan twice and throughout the Pacific Islands twice. He then transferred up to MARSOC and spent a few months pirate hunting in Africa before receiving recruiting duty for two years as a break from combat. He is married to Staff Sgt. Jocelyn Michelle and has a three-year-old daughter, Alijah Sole. He returned to Luna Bay in March. When not working and playing Mr. Mom, Nuno is usually surfing, playing soccer, playing video games, and making his best friend’s life a nightmare.
