Who: Forrest and Timpani What: GOOD MORNING. When: BACKDATED Saturday late morning. Where: Timeless Bakery Rating: TBD, update as necessary.
During the summer months Forrest tended to get up earlier than he did during the rest of the year. Trying to get a run in before the heat settled in always seemed like the best decision. That and during the week it seemed to wake him up better than coffee did by the time he was on his way to work. And okay, there were days he heard his boss groan when Forrest showed up to a job site with a large cup of coffee in his hands. It wasn't that Hunter's worked suffered from being over caffeinated, it was that sometimes Forrest had a tendency to not shut up and his coworkers had a habit of encouraging the rambles sometimes. Sometimes to the homeowners annoyance. So, since Forrest loved his job, he didn't want to annoy his boss. Or tried not to any way. His boss had given him a chance to start his life over after the accident and given him something he enjoyed. Yeah, it was no where near what he had planned on doing, but truth be told, it seemed to work out. There didn't seem to be as much pressure to succeed in life. Yeah, he was sure that his parents kind of looked down on him because he wasn't some amazingly successful engineer and instead was working with his hands. Forrest always found that the real irony in that was that as a rough carpenter, Forrest was making more money right now than he would be if he had kept on the engineering path. Sometimes a shortage of skilled labor actually paid off. And he got to do something he enjoyed and it gave him skills to help out his friends and family when they needed it. So it was all good in Forrest's book.
But today was Saturday, and they had wrapped up a job in the Hill Top district last night which meant that he had a clean weekend. Possible plans to kidnap his sister later. But for now, Forrest had finished his run and since he had no boss today, and only plans to go to the gym tonight, he decided he could indulge himself a little. Even in his sweaty teeshirt and shorts Forrest made his way to his favorite bakery and got himself a (medium!) chi tea latte and an extra large cinnamon roll. Dear sweet baby angels did it smell good. He had just pushed down his sunglasses when he saw a familiar sight, or person rather. Forrest was having a good people day, so he decided to engage with said friendly person. He kind of jogged up to Timpani and smiled brightly at her.
"Good morning!" he greeted with probably more energy than any one person should have even in the late morning. "At least I think it's still morning." he noted back tracking a little. "Anyway. Hi! How are you?! Care to share some with me?" he asked holding up the white paper bag filled with deliciousness, not realizing that she might in fact have something she was up to right now.
