Matt really could not protest that the newcomer wasn't exactly being a chatty Cathy right now. In all honesty, compared to the normal non-stop noise that tended to occupy his life, it was actually a little more than welcome. It wasn't that Matt was necessarily against talking, it was just that some days all he did was listen, and talk, and listen some more, and then his phone was going off every ten minutes because his best friend thought of an amazing idea that he had to tell Matt right that second. Which he didn't normally mind. But this week had been especially bad, to the point where his work partner, Tim, had simply just set coffee on his desk, backed away slowly, and played buffer for a while. The kid was good. Matt approved.
In all honesty, Matt really wasn't going to pay attention to what the other person next to him was up to. It wasn't until the yoga started that Matt stalled a bit. He couldn't help but staring. Yeah, okay, that was new. Or at least new to him. Maybe it was a sign that he actually hadn't been out here in that long of time. Or that he was just old. And really out of touch with things. Matt crossed his arms over his wide chest and actually started to actively watch a little bit. Yeah, that took a shit ton of core strength, but...what was even happening right now.
