Hikari had been enjoying the night with her friends. They were all older than her and most of them were over with their significant others. It was always a good time to watch horror movies together, because it was fun being scared in a large group. It was a normal Halloween-themed thing Kari did almost every year. She loved it, but once everyone left it was a different story. No, the movies were not what scared the woman in her nights of fight. It was always the aftermath. The seeing something in the shadows and hearing noises. That was what got to her, not the actual movie. That was why she sent a text to Robert. Mostly to distract herself from the fact that all her lights were still off, but he was not on his way over and she was confused.
When he finally knocked she looked at the door, not really wanting to move from her spot on the couch. Her bare feet were tucked under her and a pillow clenched by her arms. Once he started talking, though, Kari rolled her eyes and stood up, momentarily forgetting that most of what she was wearing- a black tank top and black jazz hot pants- behind the pillow, she opened the door, trying to look unimpressed, but was at least relieved to not be alone. "Make another comment and I'll sick Gator on you," she warned him with a glare.
