She really was in the mood to get home as soon as possible, but she knew there were things she needed at home. Leave it to her to not really plan all that far ahead when it came out only a few months ago. Sure, she did not live in a big sprawling house, but it was her place. Completely lacking in... everything a home needed like dishes, cooking ware and hangers. Still, she had collected most of the important things, but she had a bad habit of getting ready to make something to only find her supplies lacking. Today, she was in need of a thermometer, spatula that was not floppy and tongs. Might as well look around buy other important things, right? So she was int he store picking up milk, eggs, meat and other this and thats she saw and realized that were also not in her house. This was why people got roommates, apparently. She was walking around, glad to be on the far side of town from where she grew up. most people did not know her in this little mom and pops mart. She liked it. The place was looking like her go-to place from now on if they were always this friendly. Of course, she was sure it was more of them wanting a returning couple with the influx of modern supermarts. Kari was not about to pull a lazy person and go there.
She was finally getting to the point of her trip- buying things she actually needed, when she realized how tall the shelves were compared to her. Well that was not fair. Most of the stuff, thus far, had at least been eye-level with her. Now, she found herself taking a step back to look up at the top shelf for the exact type of tupperware she needed. of course it was that high up. She sighed and looked around at the place. Normally she would just climb, but the woman hardly knew the owners of the store. She couldn't do that now. Finally, she noticed a rather tall, slender gentleman with his back to her. Defeated, she sighed and walked over. Good thing the woman was not too proud for this. She arched her eyebrow at him and cleared her throat before asking, "Would you mind helping the vertically challenged," in a sweet tone, hoping he would say yes.
