Luca and Cyn
"I wouldn't know, I figured people rubbed elbows and over-indulged on the bar package," she replied with a playful tone. She had no clue why people went. Some were by obligation, no doubt. Other seemed to genuinely enjoy showing off in front of the other people with the money to show off. No one really looked like they enjoyed themselves when they were not being complimented or complaining about being there. The woman smirked when he thanked her. "Not a problem," she told him with a shrug.
She could not stop trying to catch a glimpse, so when he turned to face her, Cyn felt her jaw drop a little. She was entranced by him. Of course, she had no idea it was Luca under there, but all her mind could focus on for that moment was those eyes. Gorgeous. When he spoke, it snapped her from her trance and she gave a small laugh. "I know a few people who may join you in that. I should start a club," she replied. Had she known who it was, the conversation would have gone south already, but she was enjoying this. He was at least doing a grand time keeping her entertained when she was bored and hating her time. "Oh, be fair. I'm sure there are girls here who would like to have some attention from you."
She was still babysitting her drink when he finished his off. She gave another, slightly hollow laugh. "Hardly," she replied. "No, I'm here to make sure the little kiddies get home safe." Cyn looked down at her drink and finished it off. "But the mask does show off my best side."
