Kurt snorted in amusement unable to keep himself from smiling, "They do say that but I won't let it shake my faith. Everyone's wrong sometimes. Even God. Or gods. Blind faith gets people in trouble." Usually he put that into practice with his mutation - not in how he interacted with people. It applied to both though.
"Ah but I must leap! If I don't I'm not being myself," a bit of guilt slipped in past his smile. The whole previous day he'd been pretending to not be himself just so he wouldn't get associated with his mutant appearance that'd been in the papers. If his friends hated him for it, well, he would understand. "Forewarning might be a fine ally but it could also spell doom. If you announce your presence, you're easier to find, ja?"
He bit at his fingernail for a moment before adding, "It's a risk. Usually, I am all for risks but I know the stakes. I don't know that here. I try to think of what Professor Xavier would suggest but maybe he would applaud my, mm, new caution."
