"You're right. You win." She caught his gaze when he looked in her direction, holding eye contact for that brief moment. She had a very visceral reaction to his response, and it wasn't a particularly enjoyable one. But at least she had been careful not to make it too obvious in her eyes or her expression.
Closing the door to the fridge, she just nodded once again turned to step out of the room. Taking a deep breath, she took to wandering about the rest of the cabin for a distraction. "Didn't you say you'd brought wine? Does it need to chill?"
