It was the way she phrased the question, more than the question itself, that gave Tina pause. She didn't sound annoyed, or even put out by the idea that nothing he had told her was truth. She just seemed genuinely curious. So in that vein, because she didn't seem to be judging him, Tina was convincingly honest. "I'm sure some of it has been," he said, because he couldn't remember everything he'd said to her, but usually in the stories was some granule of truth. "They say even the greatest lies contain a single grain of truth to them." He was quiet for just a moment, as ingredients were dumped and mixed into a bowl, before he spoke again. "Why? Does it mater to you if it's real?"
