Natasha buried her head in Bruce's shoulder, breathing in the musky scent that accompanied him. She drew comfort from his presence, from knowing that he was safe for the moment. From knowing that the beast within stayed complacent for now. There was a time and a place for the Hulk, but when there were others in their group around who might not know how to deal with him, it didn't seem like the correct time and place.
She looked up at Bruce, eyes searching his expression for any hesitation or any other signs of falsehood. That was automatic for her, no matter how much she trusted someone. And she knew that he had his own reasons for wanting to keep her at arm's length. But it would seem that those impulses were quiet for the moment.
"It would seem that I'm not the one in danger out here. There are normal people in here who seem to be hunting those who are running around naked. I'm guessing that the nudity is an attempt to dehumanize you-treat you like animals and the poachers find it 'okay' to hunt."
It was a little blunt, but now wasn't the time for doublespeak or wrapping her words up in velvet. If he hadn't figured it out already, he needed to know what to look for.
