It was clear that Max had had more access to news archives than she did currently. Maybe she should have found a library or some other place to get online and search, but she'd decided to go for refreshment before she did anything else. And it worked out well enough, since information had come along in the form of this p.i. (Or p.i. turned apparent reporter, as it were)
She laughed at the name given for Ash. "There's a chance that my mom knew Ash. She had a hunter friend named Ash back in the day, and that sounds like a nickname he'd choose for himself."
She looked up at the TV, her jaw dropping slightly.
"That's definitely Ash, she murmured. And Bobby-he was like a grandpa to me." She missed Bobby. He'd passed away a few years previous to her jaunt to the past and subsequent alien abduction. But the idea that there was a Bobby out there somewhere in this world who was doing well for himself made her smile. The same with Ash. Her mom didn't talk about him much, but she knew that his death was a sore spot.
"I take it that you haven't found anyone else from our group yet?" she asked. She assumed if Max had that the person would be in tow.
