Mary had been on her own and outnumbered in situations. She'd fought her way out from worse odds, but that didn't mean that she was disappointed when back up arrived. Particularly when the backup just happened to be her dad. There was a proud 'that's my dad' grin on her face when she heard that voice and heard one of the goblins hit the ground.
She moved along the counter and poked her head out the other end. As soon as she spotted one of the goblins, she fired off a shot. She heard another thud and tried to spot where her dad was. It would be better if they were side by side. Easier to watch each others' backs that way.
She headed in his direction, keeping at least some cover as she did so. She was relieved that her dad was still around, because she knew damn well that if he were missing, it was the aliens' doing. There was no way in hell that her dad would leave and go back home without her.
