Clark smiled at that. He had no doubt that if there was dirt to dig up, Lois would unearth it in no time.
"I think it's less a matter of 'if' and more a matter of how many secrets there are."
He looked around them as they walked, resisting the urge to nudge his glasses down and scan the room with his X-Ray vision. His smile did widen a bit at the compliment from Lois, however. That snapped him out of wanting to scan the area with his super senses and back into this very moment with her.
He wondered, yet again, if the time had come to tell her. He had a feeling that he wouldn't be able to hold onto his secret for long if people like Evan were around. Evan had known who he was and claimed to have seen comics and movies with his story. How many others might know the names Clark Kent and Lois Lane? How long was it until someone blurted out something they shouldn't?
"Thank you." He glanced around yet again. "It's odd that such a nice place would seem so unoccupied. If this is truly a five star resort like it appears, where are the other vacationers?"
