It wasn't the first time that Clark had woken up in a strange place. He knew the gist of what was going on with the 'aliens' here (and how he hated that word). That didn't mean that he was any less disgruntled and disoriented when he woke in a strange bedroom. The note on the nightstand didn't explain nearly as much as it was meant to. If anything, it left him more unsettled.
The clothing available to him was better than the medieval world, but not by much. He also didn't have even a hint of that blue suit bearing his family's crest. That was, perhaps, the worst omission. Lois was here, and he had his glasses, but no suit to differentiate between the two sides of his personality.
And yet. It wouldn't be the first time that he'd considered just telling her his secret. He still didn't know how she'd react if he told her, and so he wasn't ready. And a part of him wanted to make sure that she truly accepted both sides of him-both the Clark Kent side and the Superman side.
He listened carefully, using his super-hearing, and sure enough, Lois was here. It didn't take long to find her after that. She'd been all but shouting at the person behind the front desk, and then she headed off. He sped to where he could hear her heartbeat, slowing down before he came into view. He pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose, ensuring they were still in place, and then he stepped out and cleared his throat.
"I see that I'm not the only one who got this vacation," he announced himself. "Are you all right, Lois?"
