Destiny's wake up had been a lot like it was the last time around. White sheets again, a dead giveaway that she wasn't at home, and the window in the wrong place. She was sad to see the little bungalow she'd had on dino-world was gone... She'd been fairly well stocked there, and she knew where to find Peter.
When she woke up and saw the note on her bedside, Destiny became quietly enraged. If her cousin was gone, if they touched one hair on his stupid wolf head... she was not going to be held responsible for her actions. Maybe she'd coat all the door knobs in that stuff that made you think your face was coming off and spiders were crawling on you. Folk medicine was an amazing thing.
She had a pair of little pink shorts waiting for her, like the ones she bummed around in at him, and a bathing suit top. All things considered, Destiny was not bothered by her wardrobe in this new location at all. She'd gotten a nice pair of black sunglasses, too, round ones with some swirls on the side just before her ears. They'd even given her sun block.
There wasn't a lot of call for sunbathing in Hemlock Grove, so she grabbed that before leaving the room.
She asked the first staff member she saw where they were and was met with a cheerful reminder about happy hour and something about a lunch special. She tried again on her way to the lobby and this time she was told about the Tikki Lounge and some kind of luau tomorrow. Becoming exasperated, she pushed her way past almost everyone she saw to get outside.
There was a beautiful beach out here, even with some swimming pools dotting the coast. Palm trees, the whole thing. And yep, sun. Destiny angrily covered herself in sunscreen before taking a step further, then headed out toward the ocean. She could see a wall there, but that wasn't the issue just yet.
Finding the pasty white werewolf in the Where's Waldo scene in front of her was.
Destiny even searched for the upir she knew Peter palled around with, searching for her face. She might gleam in the sun, if they'd given her an outfit like Destiny's.
After an hour of this, Destiny concluded her cousin was either not outside or not here. She was becoming visibly upset, and more than anything she wanted to throw some kind of tantrum right here. Peter wasn't safe right now. Not to himself, not to anyone. She had to find him.
She sank down to the sand with a plop and put her head in her hands.
