Mary started to line up her bottles on top of the mini bar. It wasn't nearly the impressive collection that Johnny would have when he was done, but if she tried to keep up with him she'd be dead. She helped herself to yet another of the mini bottles, feeling the fuzzy warmth come on that indicated she'd be betting to and past tipsy before long. She was tempted to give up on the drinks and just snuggle into Johnny, but she had to just trust that he wouldn't disappear when she had her eyes on him. Even touching him wouldn't guarantee anything, though it might have made her feel better. But the alcohol worked as well. It was a nice insulation against the pain of losing him, and it dulled the urgency she felt upon getting him back.
"This place that seemed like a sort of futuristic utopia. It seemed peaceful, but that's because the laws were really strict. You should have seen what they did to people they caught doing minor things." she tried not to shudder. "We were in this high rise hotel and everything was going fine... until the uprising. I think a few of our number sort of had something to do with it," she hadn't paid a lot of attention at that point. She'd simply gone along with it.
"After that, there was a sort of space version of the wild west. With saloons and everything. And then the last planet I remember before this had dinosaurs. And lizard people."
She stopped talking, because she figured he'd have some questions. She tried not to wonder if she were missing time here too. The letter had mentioned putting everyone in stasis, but had she missed any planets like Johnny? And she had to wonder if her parents, Rob, Cas and Anna, and Logan were here. Maybe she should be looking for them.
Soon, she promised herself. For now, she was going to enjoy having Johnny back.
