She looked down at the sun on the floor. Every second, the sun was lower in the sky. The sunlight on the floor was no longer direct, but there was still enough of it that it was keeping her mostly where she was.
To illustrate the point, Phaedra put her arm out, fingers in a sun beam. They tanned instantly, then, as she drew her arm back, her skin faded to its normal shade of pale.
While she appreciated the offer for coffee, Phaedra simply held up one finger, gaze directed down to the floor. When the sun faded a little bit more, she stepped out of the doorway, into the hall and past Peter.
She smirked at him over her shoulder. "Thank you, though."
