Niks didn't dream normal dreams. In fact, she didn't exactly dream. She slipped away to the Dreamlands, which was where she was trying not to be at the moment. No matter how hard she tried to will two certain men into existence, even shades of them, she couldn't. The Dreamlands knew better; she could and would never be happy with the imitations. That and she was fairly certain it just didn't work like that. Probably didn't work like that.
So, there she sat with a plate of delicious cream puffs covered in chocolate sauce. She knew Simon would have loved them, and it was possible Evan would have found them fun for a while. There was a good bit that could be done with cream and chocolate.
The least the aliens could have done was given her something worth while to read. Niks didn't mind romance on occassion, or other bits of fluff, but her mind always came up with so much better. So, she would have preferred some of the readings on the Dreamlands, or a history of the place they currently inhabited. Anything with information, not fancies.
Her thoughts were paused for the moment as a man entered the lounge. The librarian had been hoping to eat in solitude, which would have suggested she eat in her room. Only...maybe she didn't want to be completely alone. While picking a tasty looking bit of pastry from the plate she watched the man..something..was..different. A mental eye roll as she realized if he weren't from here or from her reality, he was certainly different, but this was a different..different?
