"Sam, you can dance." Jack smiled at him. Notice she said nothing about actually asking him to take part in that particular activity. "Though, I don't think I know of any of these." She motioned toward whatever was taking place not far from them.
"You spiffed up." She lightly poked his chest before grabbing his elbow, claiming him of sorts to make sure no one got the idea to ask him for a dance; she didn't say as much - he was smart enough to figure it out.
"Sure, you don't want to make a match? You'd be set for life, plush." The hunter smiled slightly and squeezed the arm she held loosely to.
"Though you'd be a kept man. That'd get boring after awhile, and they probably wouldn't let you read books. They probably like their men dumb." For all her teasing, Jack did believe in equality.
