Annabelle didn't move, and she didn't get nervous. What she did notice was that it'd been a while since anybody had touched her. She had to think back...
It was really a long time. She'd hugged her dad goodbye after her last visit home, and then she'd gone back to her dorm. Then... there'd been the planet with the vampire ducks. So... months? The Doctor may have herded her gently or something, and Cavan had done the same, but the friendly human contact thing had not been happening.
She seemed to remember Dean telling her that he wished his brother was the one who met her first, back at the diner on that noire world. Dean hadn't explained why, but she was starting to get a good idea. Maybe that was Dean's way of being nice about it--he knew he was a dick who was ill-equipped to handle it, and he knew his brother was the opposite.
Sam was very tall, and since he'd moved closer, Annabelle had to look up rather than straight ahead in order to not be staring at his chest. It was a nice chest, but she didn't want to give her power any ideas about where to leap to.
She nodded. She'd read all the books the Doctor could give her. Simon was gone...
"Okay." She nodded again. "Yes." There was a pause. "Please."
