Jo took a drink with one hand and let her free hand rest on Dean's knee. She probably would have agreed with the 'first date' assessment. It still sometimes felt like they'd just barely crossed the line between friendship and something more. Even though it had been over a year since he'd told her he loved her and even though they were currently coexisting with one of their two future children.
Talking about the things that had happened since she'd seen him last seemed safest though. She was glad for that. She also just hoped that they'd get a break long enough to get past this feeling that they were ships in the night.
"There might be a werewolf among us," she said. "I didn't see it, but someone warned Mary back on the island that she needed to watch out for a wolf. It could have been specific to the island, but it's something worth watching out for."
She frowned. Surprisingly, that was the least of her concerns right now.
"And I tried talking to Rob. You know, the guy who was there for Mary's rescue? Did you notice that he resembles someone we knew? He was really cagey about how he knows Mary."
Maybe it was just her, but she wanted to see if Dean had caught the uncanny resemblance to Sam too.
