"I'm sure you have no idea." He shook his head and moved toward her. He knew that there would be another bout of tears sometime in the future, that they would talk more in depth about what she'd been through, but considering that she'd opened up some today, he thought they'd made a good deal of progress.
"I only got the one because I wasn't thinking, honestly." He looked over his shoulder at it. "I was just so happy that they were able to produce it so easily, I wanted to get it away from their sight before they had a chance to really think about what alcohol being on board might lead to. I felt like a kid snagging a magazine he shouldn't have."
Johnny made his way closer to Mary, reaching out to touch her cheek with the back of his hand. "Next time, I'll order like nine of them."
