"Sorry." Johnny laughed, realizing what it must have sounded like. Given the circumstances and how weird all of this was, he didn't blame her for thinking that he meant something that he didn't.
"I just mean that I think it's time we talk about what happened." Johnny sat on the bed, watching her. "You gotta talk about it sometime, and I figure that it might be easier with me. You can't keep it all blocked up. Bury it. It'll hurt you in the long run."
He patted the bed, inviting her to come sit with him here. He would gladly hold onto her, keep assuring her she was safe now with physical contact. Or do anything else that she needed him to do.
