"Oh." Ambrose nodded slightly and spooned a little more soup into his mouth. He didn't slurp; he wasn't a slurper. They tended to get noticed.
"I see." He didn't, not exactly, but then he wouldn't if he were taken when he was unconscious; he knew he didn't like this particular revelation, as much as it did make sense.
"Do you know of many anesthetics? It is possible to administer them in such a way that the grogginess is limited or nonexistent." He nodded. "I'm a biology teacher, at one time I thought of becoming a doctor." It was only a small lie.
